U.S C-17's help the French!

The U.S have helped the french air force and french army with ongoing operations in Mali. It joins the UK in providing C-17 aircraft to help transport troops and equipment. Both the US and UK have no intention of deploying soldiers to the country.

China's Y-20 takes to the skies!

China's Y-20 has finally achieved it's maiden flight with flight tests now underway. The plane took off on Saturday 26th January and is a new milestone for China's air force!

American's long awaited new livery...

It's about time that 'change is in the air' at American. With an ageing fleet of aircraft, a new look couldn't come at a more better time. The old livery scheme was disapproved by many and American are hoping this new livery will help increase profits. A fresh new look will work in American's favor.

787's Grounded!

787's in Europe, Japan and the US have been grounded over safety concerns. The 787 has suffered a cracked windscreen, fuel leaks, electrical fires and even brake failure all in the same week. The 787 is Boeing s flagship aircraft. The FAA says the 787 will remain grounded until Boeing can demonstrate the lithium-ion polymer batteries are safe.

Citilink have become the latest customers to Airbus for its A320 Neo. Citilink have placed firm orders for 25 of the aircraft listed at $2.4 billion.

787 safety concerns

The american aircraft manufacturer Boeing are in hot water this week with growing pressure regarding the safety of the Boeing 787. The 787 has suffered a cracked windscreen, fuel leaks, electrical fires and even brake failure all in the same week. The 787 is Boeing s flagship aircraft.US regulators have ordered a review of the 787 dreamliner and Boeing says it is working closely with the faa.
